Industrial Applications of MECNME Graphite Gaskets & Seals
Graphite sealing materials feature outstanding comprehensive performance, excelling in extreme working environments with excellent heat resistance, pressure resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance. Most notably, MECNME graphite gaskets and seals maintain stable dimensional integrity under drastic temperature fluctuations and pressure cycling, avoiding deformation, loosening, or leakage failure. Thanks to these superior properties, our graphite sealing solutions are widely adopted in the following industrial scenarios:
- Petroleum refineries
- Chemical and petrochemical processing plants
- Pulp and paper manufacturing mills
- General industrial fluid static sealing systems
- Mechanical vibration damping and buffering scenarios
- High-temperature steam service systems
- Low-temperature cryogenic engineering applications
- Thermal, electronic, and electrochemical industrial equipment
MECNME Graphite Gasket Sheet & Roll Materials
MECNME supplies a full range of in-stock flexible homogeneous graphite rolls and graphite sheet materials for gasket manufacturing. Our industrial-grade graphite materials feature a carbon content of 95%–99%, while high-purity nuclear-grade graphite reaches 99.5% carbon purity. Higher carbon content significantly enhances material flexibility and conformability, while pure graphite naturally carries slight brittleness. To balance flexibility, structural strength, and operational stability, MECNME equips graphite materials with diverse metal core reinforcement structures, effectively improving mechanical strength, overall stability, and on-site assembly convenience.
Our complete graphite material portfolio includes: pure homogeneous graphite sheets & rolls, 316 stainless steel tang reinforced graphite sheets, stainless steel foil inserted graphite sheets, wire mesh reinforced graphite sheets, and tinplated carbon steel tang graphite sheets. For ultra-high temperature extreme working conditions, we provide premium woven and compressed foil graphite sheets to meet elevated operational demands.

Introduction to MECNME Graphite Reinforcement Insert Types
Homogeneous Graphite (98.2% Carbon Content): Fiber-free, binder-free, and additive-free pure graphite material. It delivers excellent surface conformability, perfectly fitting minor irregularities on flange surfaces under low and medium sealing pressure. Widely applicable for metal jacketed gaskets, heat exchanger gaskets, and corrugated metal sealing gaskets.
316 Stainless Steel Tang Reinforced Graphite: Reinforced with 316SS metal tang structure, this material balances flexibility and mechanical strength, serving as the universal high-reliability solution for most standard industrial fluid sealing applications.
Stainless Steel Foil Reinforced Graphite: Possesses identical temperature resistance, pressure resistance, and chemical stability as tang-reinforced graphite. Adopting 0.002-inch ultra-thin stainless steel foil reinforcement, it is the most widely used mainstream graphite gasket material for general industrial sealing scenarios.
Wire Mesh Reinforced Graphite (98% Carbon Content): Integrated with metal wire mesh reinforcement, it enhances overall structural toughness and pressure resistance, suitable for medium-load industrial static sealing systems.
Tinplated Carbon Steel Tang Graphite: Optimized for automotive equipment, combustion engines, and similar thermal cycling working conditions, commonly applied in engine head gaskets and exhaust system sealing gaskets.
Hochdruck® High-Performance Graphite (99.85% Carbon Content): A premium multi-layer composite graphite material with 316 stainless steel foil inserts. It features ultra-high compressive strength, excellent blowout resistance, superior structural stability, and outstanding sealing tightness, perfectly adapting to high-pressure, high-temperature, and high-reliability demanding industrial working conditions.
